However, I made it clear to you that posts older than 6 months should not be bumped just to say "Nice" or compliment the original content. The only valid reason to bump a thread older than 6 months is to add new or updated content. If a post is older than 6 months, why can't you just enjoy it without commenting (that is directed at anyone bumping old posts). It makes other members think there was something added when there was not. Its even worse when someone bumps a thread not just older than 6 months, but a thread older than 3 years. There are more rules than that, which are more looked at as guidelines, but they should be followed just the same, like not posting from sites on the banned list or using click-pay hosting sites, etc. Just because they are not listed on the main page under the "rules" does not mean members can ignore them. What I did have a problem with was wrinkledfeet bumping a 4 year old thread to make a point to someone who commented on a different thread. Its also not just that one instance, other members have been bumping old posts also. I have already explained why bumping old threads should not be done and stated what constitutes an old thread and the acceptable reason to bump an old thread. Seems like either way is wrong for some folks so I try to make a brief post when I really like what I see so the OP is aware their post has been appreciated.
