I found non-toon TV to be a pretty good source of female feet to drool over as well. Some of my all-time favorite TV shows and episodes which focused on women's feet and legs date back to the sixties and seventies. I bet most of you have watched some of these shows on "TV Land" and/or "Nick at Nite." You may have watched others on DVD.
So, what non-toon TV shows fed your lust for female feet and toes?
The "Dick Van Dyke Show" episode "Never Bathe on Sunday," in which Mary Tyler Moore got her big toe stuck in a bathtub spigot first aired in 1965 and was one of my all-time favorites. The sight of Mary Tyler Moore's hosed soles throughout the episode as she recounted the incident (shown in flashbacks) and the sight of her bare foot with its big toe stuck in the spigot got me really excited.
Anyone remember this episode?
On "Gilligan's Island," Tina Louise's hosed feet were briefly on display in the episode "All About Eva," in which Tina Louise played both Ginger Grant and prim Ginger look-alike Eva Grubb. Near the beginning of the episode, Tina as Eva Grubb lost one of her high-heeled shoes as she ran away from the Skipper and Gilligan. There was a shot of her sitting on a rock or stump rubbing her hosed foot. There was also a shot of Gilligan holding her shoe up to her foot as she tried to hide from him. The shot ended with Gilligan grabbing her foot.
In another episode, a witch doctor held a flame up to the feet of voodoo dolls of the castaways. In the next scene, they all ran to the lagoon to cool off their feet. The sight of Ginger and Mary Ann voicing their distress as they clutched first one foot then the other got me quite aroused.
In a third episode, a butterfly collector came to the island, and the castaways ran around trying to help him catch a rare butterfly. Their feet got sore from all this running around, and there was a scene in which they all soaked their aching feet in individual plastic tubs of water. Mary Ann rubbed one of her cute, petite feet in that episode, and I realized that Dawn Wells had lovely feet as well.
The thing that I noticed most in that episode, though, was that Ginger's tub of water was noticeably bigger than anyone else's, because Tina Louise had ginormous feet! I would learn later in life that Tina Lousie was about 6 feet tall and that she wore a size 10 or 11 shoe! In the episode, Ginger was wincing and sucking air in through clenched teeth as she lifted one of her sore bare feet out of the tub of water and flexed her toes. I loved the sight of Tina Louise's ginormous feet and toes, and I loved even more the fact that Ginger's feet and toes were in mild distress in the episode.
I very much enjoyed the fact that Tina Louise's feet were supposed to be sore in that particular episode. She winced and made faces at the pretend pain. She also flexed her feet and wiggled her toes quite a bit.
Anyone remember these episodes? Anyone else into Ginger and Mary Ann?
I basically fed my lust for feet however I could. There were more TV shows worth checking out. "I Dream of Jeannie" was always worth watching for the occasional views of Barbara Eden's hosed or bare feet.
Does anyone else out there dream of Jeannie and her lovely toes and feet?
On "That Girl," in an episode titled "This Little Piggy Had a Ball" that was a copycat of the "Dick Van Dyke Show" episode where Mary Tyler Moore got her big toe stuck in the bathtub spigot, Marlo Thomas ended up getting her big toe stuck in a bowling ball. There were some great shots of her feet in that episode.
Anyone else see this episode or anything similar?
On the old "Superman" show from the 1950s (which was shown in reruns when Mike and Todd was a little boy), there was an episode from the first season titled "The Human Bomb," in which the first Lois Lane, played by actress Phyllis Coates (she was replaced by Noel Neill in subsequent seasons, because there was an unusually long gap between the first and second seasons, and Ms. Coates had committed to doing other work), was taken hostage by a gambler who had bet someone he could control Superman for one hour. The gambler, a fellow named "Bet a Million" Butler, decides to gain the necessary influence over Superman by strapping dynamite to his chest and taking Lois hostage. Butler takes Lois out onto the narrow ledge of the Daily Planet building where Lois almost slips and falls because she's wearing high heels. Butler suggests she take off her shoes. Both boys were delighted when Phyllis Coates nudged off one high-heeled shoe and then the other to reveal her pretty hosed feet. There were several close-ups of her feet as she removed her shoes and then stood in her hosed feet on the ledge. I noticed that Ms. Coates had very pretty toes.
There was also another episode in which Lois removed one of her shoes to breqk up a porcelain statue. She had to hop with oine shoe on across the room to get the wast basket.
Anyone else into Lois Lane in any of her various incarnations? Jerry Seinfeld, you out there? If not Lois
Lane, then who?
Some of my favorite movies also had great shots of women's feet. There were classics like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (Audrey Hepburn), "Charade" (Audrey Hepburn), "Father Goose" (Leslie Caron), "That Touch of Mink" (Doris Day), and "The Pink Panther" (Claudia Cardinale and Capucine) and "The Parent Trap" (Maureen O'Hara and Joanna Barnes). I watched a lot of the old "beach" movies and the "Gidget" TV series with Sally Field because they had some great shots of women's feet in them.
What were some of your favorite feet films as a kid?
Later on in life, when I was in high school, I would fall in love with the third segment of 1975's "Trilogy of Terror" in which a doll came to life and menaced the bare feet of actress Karen Black!
Anyone else see this? What did you think of it?
I also spent a lot of time scoping out magazines and advertisements for feet.
